
What has long been rumored as the “Onyx” will now get a formal introduction under a new name. RIM unveils the Blackberry Bold 9700 has a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and image stabilization, a 2.44-inch 480 x 360 display, Bluetooth 2.1, integrated GPS, and a brand-new BlackBerry OS 5.0.
There is something noticeably absent in the Bold 9700 is the trackball, which is then replaced with an optical trackpad. It also comes with a wide variety of wireless networks, making it compatible with many carriers in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Expect this baby to arrive in November.
